How it works
One pass, every week, in the same order. The figures on the right are an invented example week, labelled as such, so you can see what each filter removes.
- 01 Take last week's incorporations. Every company registered at Companies House in the week just gone.
- 02 Keep the construction trades. By SIC code as filed, not by guesswork on the company name. In the example: 412.
- 03 Keep your area. The postcode districts agreed with you at the start, matched on the registered office. In the example that is why 412 becomes 61.
- 04 Strip the shells. Formation-agent addresses and the factories that register dozens of empty companies a week come out here. In the example that is why 61 becomes 11. After this step, what remains is what we email.
- 05 Send what is left, Monday morning. Company, number, incorporation date, SIC, registered office, named current directors, and listing-check status. The last two example figures match (11 after shells, 11 in the email) because there is no further unpublished filter.

The listing column
We check for a Google listing at about a hundred a day, so it lags the email. A mark means found. Blank means not checked yet, not that there is none. When one turns up later we send a short note that weekday. A listing check does not remove a firm from the Monday email.
Where it comes from
The public Companies House register. Directors are the current appointments as filed. We are independent of Companies House.
